Misha

I've got nothing art-wise for you today. So here is a picture of Misha and I bonding over some Beatles. In case you were not aware, Misha is my brand new mandolin that my father made (completely and fully from scratch) for me. Note the bizarre shape of the body; I redesigned it it be easier to hold and my dad did the rest. I'm really proud of my dad's handiwork so I'll post better photos after it's undergone its finishing touches.

"Misha" because the laquer makes it smell like a matryoshka doll.

The Beginning of the End

My blog has been neglected lately, but not for much longer! Yesterday I finished my Super Serious Senior Sproject (I really needed that alliteration to work. I apologize). This is a big deal for me. I spent 3.5 years of college dreading this project, and the last 2 months of college wishing it would just finish itself while I sat in bed eating chocolate.

Anyhow, it is finally DONE! I wanted to share with you what I've been working on for the past semester. It's also the primary reason that there have been no comics on my blog, so this is where you can direct your anger at my infrequent posts.

Just a disclaimer because this is the internet and I feel this is necessary:
I do not own the rights to any of the photos in this book. The illustrations are all mine and copyrighted, but the images of other comic books are not my property. They have been properly referenced from their original sources and authors. Similarly, the first three chapters of text were not written by me and credit is given to the original authors. This is a student project and will not be sold. I am not (nor ever will be) making money off of these artists'/authors' creations unless I were to gain their full permission.

Yogurt

Well look at the time. It's my birthday! I'm turning Old.

Lots of big things happening, besides the anniversary of my eviction from a placenta! Today I am going to send my senior thesis book to be printed (gasp!) and this weekend I'll get to bind it. Next week is when all of my finals are due (well, except for a lone presentation on the 9th although the project is technically due on the 2nd..). The following week is the big Senior Thesis Show, which is crazy exciting. And then what? Then I'm DONE. I'll be officially a college graduate! A few days after the senior show, my best friend is coming in to town, then my grandma, then we're having a party for my sister (she is also graduating) and me.... like I said, there is a lot happening!

So here's a comic I scribbled after babysitting a group of kids who really wanted their yogurt.

Can't Wait

Busy busy busy busy. It's always something. Pro bono project here, a poster there, my senior project.. ACK. I've never been good at juggling!! I'm just putting this here til I can get something more substantial up. Come Wednesday, I'll have a fun little surprise to show you all! IT'LL BE GOOD I PROMISE
You know what, eff my life. Because that cool little surprise I was going to have for you isn't actually happening like I thought. NEVERMIND.
