A Parisian in Old Town
I saw this lovely lady on my way home from work. Everyone seemed to look beautiful today (maybe a warm weather effect?), but she was so striking that I actually did a double take. Something about her crisp dress made her stand out among all the flesh-baring ensembles other women were wearing. I wish I had the guts to tell her how great she looked!
Study of a Woman
While my office job isn't exactly a font of inspiration for my comics, it has certainly lit a fire under me to do more illustration/fine art. I'm going to try to do a digital drawing every night or so.
I'm really pleased with how this came out (and the fact that the brush I used mimics conte on textured paper quite believably!).

Landscapes
If you hadn't already noticed, I'm teaching myself Photoshop. And not just in the "resize pictures" and "remove redeye" kind of way. I want it to feel natural and like an obvious extension of my traditional medium art. In an effort to be scientific, I am trying different brushes for different projects. You've already seen the few that I have for comic art. A couple days ago I found some other kinds and here I am trying them out:
Liora
I had this photo rattling around on my computer, begging to be drawn, for years now and I finally was compelled to put it on paper. It felt empty so I added the halo and the red drips. I'm still not sure how I feel about those parts but I'm relatively happy with this piece overall. I would have scanned it all nice for ya but the enamel is still drying and I don't want to get it all over the scanner bed! So this is just an edited photobooth picture.
Brush Pen Sketch
I remembered that I have a brush pen and decided to stretch my legs, artistically speaking. I'm so so rusty at making 'real' art. Here's the best drawing of the bunch that I did (which is pretty disheartening because it is a total Klimt ripoff). NSFW, lady parts.
